 SlapHillary is back. Now SlapRonPaul?
Interesting. Recent events made me wonder whether the irreverent and strangely satisfying site SlapHillary.com was still in operation. It was initially hosted by FrontPageMagazine who described the site as "a public service for the terminally frustrated; the truly outraged; American women who are sick of betrayal; and for the just plain mean-spirited. Have a nice day." In essence, it is a simple game in which you get to slap a photo of Hillary Clinton with a huge cartoon and see her eyes roll in response. When I clicked on the original link, however, up popped a notice that mimicked a browser alert; it told me about downloaded porn that had been discovered on my harddrive (of which I may be unaware) and offered me a link to "drivecleaner.com" -- a program designed to clean my computer. I could immediately downloaded the program by just clicking 'okay.' Of course, living with a tech guy, I knew to raise my hands from the keyboard and slowly back away from the screen. (Actually, I hit cancel and I do not embed the link in this post.)

A bit more research revealed that the real and improved SlapHillary is back at a new URL. The improvement: two sound clips allow you to choose the specific statement over which you wish to vent your spleen on that pompous, duplicitous, ambition-crazed bitch. (Gee...I need to visit the site again.)

Now someone needs to do a SlapRonPaul site because it is massively irrititating that so many people think this social conservative is a libertarian. Even hardline libertarians are stumbling over themselves to overlook the unforgiveable in his beliefs/policies because they are so tired of wearing a T-shirt inscribed "LOSER" when they enter the political realm. But this embarrassing gush over and financing of the man only means that a real libertarian position is unlikely to get aired during the election; it means the term "libertarian" will become further confused by being associated with Paul. I am no fan of the Libertarian Party or of electoral politics as a valid path (morally or strategically) toward freedom but I have always grudgingly acknowledged that a candidate who aired libertarian arguments without pretentions of assuming office might accomplish some good. I think the funding would be mostly a waste of money but some good might be accomplished. Now even this little sliver of possible progress is being negated.

Yep. I need a SlapRonPaul site. Any takers on creating one?
