Crème brûlée. Now this is a restaurant I would frequent. Hell...with one touch--the tiny dragon--the sketch suggests an entire world that I would frequent, and so happily.

The DOJ’s Potential Plans To Create Title IX Sex Offender Database.
My latest article has been published in the Daily Caller: The DOJ’s Potential Plans To Create Title IX Sex Offender Database. I don't know why I enjoy dissecting legislation and legal documents, but I find the process satisfying. Perhaps it is because the process is so very different from the original theory that I'm presenting in the bitcoin.com series of articles that will form the forthcoming book The Satoshi Revolution. It is almost relaxing to sort through claims and to draw straight-forward conclusions.

Regifting the Russell building to McCain.
Be sure to peek beneath the surface of any political proposal. Renaming the Russell Senate Office Building in honor of John McCain may seem benevolent. But I immediately wondered...why take an existing honor away from someone else? It is like regifting the building. Now it makes sense. Under the guise of graciousness, the Dems are erasing an embarrassment. Russell was a Democrat and segregationalist who opposed the Civil Rights Act, and renaming the building is equivalent to tearing down a Confederate statue. Meanwhile, the Dems are trying to make the renaming into a flash point in the hope that Trump's hatred of McCain will lead him to block the measure and so cause Reps to oppose Trump. High drama? Impending scandal? Nope. Business as usual.

Speak honestly of the dead...do not reflexively praise
I do not enjoy speaking ill of anyone, alive or dead, but I refuse to mourn John McCain who was an absolute war monger, a career-establishment politician, and a rather vicious man personally. I could say more but I do not wish to address McCain specifically; I want to reject the entire idea that dead public figures and their "legacies" are off-limits to criticism or honesty.

I have resurrected a 2013 article by Glenn Greenwald in which he stated, "This demand for respectful silence in the wake of a public figure's death is not just misguided but dangerous. That one should not speak ill of the dead is arguably appropriate when a private person dies, but it is wildly inappropriate for the death of a controversial public figure, particularly one who wielded significant influence and political power. 'Respecting the grief' of Thatcher's family members is appropriate if one is friends with them or attends a wake they organize, but the protocols are fundamentally different when it comes to public discourse about the person's life and political acts. I made this argument at length last year when Christopher Hitchens died and a speak-no-ill rule about him was instantly imposed (a rule he, more than anyone, viciously violated..."
