A blog reader commentsBlog reader and old friend Don writes in to comment on a proposal being circulated in the States -- namely, an amendment to the Constitution that would require politicians to abide by the same laws as the average person. In essence, it would remove the many exemptions that allow the politicos to function as an elite class that is above the law. Don writes,
This call for another amendment overlooks the fact that every member of the federal govt. violates their oath of office to defend the constitution. This is treason. But they decide what is treason, not us. They decide to ignore the constitution and their own laws, knowing they are exempt from the law because they protect each other against us and accountability, and it is they who enforce the law.
We can't pass more laws to make them obey the laws, or to make them represent us, or make them do anything, because they have been given almost all the power.
Our only power left is the power to take back our sovereignty by refusing to recognize or obey their authority. Rejecting rulers, does not mean rejecting rules. In fact, by rejecting their lawless rule, we affirm our rights and can then establish our own rules, govern ourselves, and we may choose to do so voluntarily, without bloodshed, just by a permanent boycott of being ruled by others, especially when others do so by violence or threat thereof or fraud. These are the 3 weapons they use against us because we let them. All we have to do is stop letting them. We have to de-authorize them to rule us. They don't deserve any respect or power. They never did. It was a mistake to turn over our lives to a ruling class, even if some are temporary. It didn't work. Now we have fix it. Not by asking their permission (working within their rules), but by denying them all power. They got it from us, we can take it back. It's past time, way past.
